VariableScope's current gear

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX7
Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 45mm F1.8
Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm 1:2.8 Macro
Powerhouse of a camera. Fast, high IQ and easy to handle. Looks great to boot. Video is fantastic as well.
How to make people look amazing in pictures. Excellent rendering of faces, nice bokeh and speedy plus accurate focus. Lens hood should have been included tbh.
Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm F4.0-5.6
Panasonic Lumix G 20mm F1.7 II ASPH
Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-140mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / Power O.I.S
Cosmetic upgrade to an already fantastic lens. Wish the focus motor was updated with this version. My preferred walkaround lens.
Fantastic all-rounder. Sharp enough across the range, even wide open. Not gigantic either. Makes travel photography a cinch.
Other gear:
  • 3 Legged Thing 23mm PUNKS VYV & AIRHED MOHAWK
  • Joby Gorillapod Hybrid
  • Nissin i40 Flashgun

Pipedream lens. Not sure about its intended applications in my case.

Bye bye birdy. You gave me great photos but the compromises I dealt with by 2014 were too much. But back in 2010 when i got it, it was a revelation coming from compact cameras and using friends' heavy DSLRs.
Hefty lens but focus was decently quick and sharp.
Painful focus aside, this was the first lens I got for my camera. Great rendering and sharpness. Only reason I got rid of it was because I got the V2 with my GX7.
