Three times the name of the famous photographer is mentioned ... but it is never explained what is the connection between the picture and the subject of the challenge !!!

Tim Reidy Productions: consider this the winner based on political theme, The one with the most votes was not a political rally nor a politician.

Thanks!

Dutch Newchurch: An interesting and surreal composition. Commended by the host, with full bragging rights.

Thanks!
This is the result of combining two different slides.

Dutch Newchurch: Perhaps the most important of all the Discworld characters? COMMENDED BY THE HOST, with full bragging rights!

Thanks!
I'm afraid most of the participants did not relate to the Discworld and Terry Pratchett.
Too bad!

In reply to:

Dutch Newchurch: This could well illustrate a discussion about heat flowing, and entropy increasing. The steam gives a real sense of drama and shows the heat. The simple composition is clean and clear. Commended by the host (with full bragging rights).

Thanks !

On photo The human family in the Darwin Day challenge (3 comments in total)
In reply to:

Dutch Newchurch: This challenge attracted many illustrations of apes, with no indication why the author considered their image to be a celebration of science as a tool for the common good of humanity. This shows three species and variation over time, which is a useful illustration of Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection. Commended by the host (with full bragging rights).

Thanks!
I try to present the spirit of the subject, but most of the participants present a beautiful picture, even if it does not exactly belong.

Dutch Newchurch: As challenge host I cannot vote in the challenge, but I can award this photograph a ‘Commended by the Host’ - with full bragging rights - for this clear and simple illustration of the theme.

Thanks!
The pic was taken with the help of my wife who threw the stones into the Dead Sea.

On photo Hot music in the Album cover for a rock band challenge (2 comments in total)
In reply to:

Dutch Newchurch: As host I cannot vote, but I can award this ‘Commended by the Host’, with full bragging rights. It’s a striking abstract that will stand out in a record store, or as a poster on the tube, or an advertisement promoting the album or the tour. The internal border makes good use of the square format.

thanks for the compliments...
I thought it would be suitable for a "hot band"...

On photo Dancing interlude at a crossroads in the Take to the Road challenge (2 comments in total)

we went on a 2 week SUV trip to Georgia. this pic was taken in the lower Caucasus on a rainny day and we had a short stop to decide on the next direction... there was a lovely music on the radios in the cars and we started dancing spontaniously. unfortunately, the girl on the left stumbled and broke her hand 5 minutes after the pic was shot...

In reply to:

RuthC: This is an impressive image of a water lily, fotoselect, and it deserves second place in this 'Nature's Decorations' challenge. The colours, minute details and the intensity of the flower demand our attention. It is quite amazing that such beauty can rise from ponds where the water is usually less than crystal clear.
RuthC :-)

thanks for the warm words...I really enjoy taking pics of water lilies...they are so interesting and colorful and different from each other.
p.s. I sent another pic of water lily to another challenge ...
thanks again
