I agree completely, if at all possible "standard" energy source like AA or AAA for that matter in digital cameras will result in less waste and cost... I am using mostly older digital cams with AA..., trying to do my part.

Mr Graphic: It's really hard to agree with this review after using my Sony HX200 for two years and after taking over 4,000 photos with it. "Purple fringing" - I've never really noticed any! "Nice pics if you don't look too close" - This camera has always delivered fantastic image quality!
I'm not saying it's perfect (since what camera is) but I would swear by this little camera! In fact, I'll do even better than that! Here is a link to my Flickr page so you can see for yourself what this great little camera can do! (IMO)
And always remember that GOOD photos are mostly the result of good composition and light, and not so much what hardware you have!
