I'm surprised I find it works extremely well but I think it is pretty useless because it is unnecessary because normal focusing methods work just as well.

But in these examples isn't it totally unnecessary.  I can't imagine that you wouldn't get those shots with just about any m4/3s camera without the need for CAF or tracking.
