RuthC: This was my favourite entry in the 'Jigsaw Puzzle' challenge, Trevor Carpenter, and I was disappointed that it didn't finish amongst the leaders. It is a beautiful image in its own right, and an amazing capture by you, being there at the exact time of the birds' departure. The colours and composition are aesthetically appealing, while the picture itself would be a delightful nightmare to solve in puzzle form.
RuthC :-)

Thanks Ruth

Fascinating experience marking this challenge. Getting that combination of interesting picture , IQ and jigsaw puzzle suitability certainly is a challenge

I don't do landscapes and don't normally comment on them but I happened to click on this to make it full screen and that is a real wow shot. Congratulations, a well deserved first place.

Trevor Carpenter: The unquestionable winner, beautiful

I've been to the Farnes, probably one of the best places I have ever been and I'm reasonably well travelled. I'd like to go again one day. If you want to photograph Nuthatches I recommend a bag of suet pellets £1 in Poundland.

Photo-Wiz: No Built-in flash! I'm not buying any more cameras without built in flash.

In built flash is incredibly useful if you shoot ad hoc macros. I don't carry a flash everywhere I go and not having one on the GX8 is a big blocker on what I think would be a great camera.

Agree outstanding. I missed the closure date on this one. A good job because I can't compete against that.
