I see, thanks Doug. So, I will rather chase the missing birds on our feeder :-) .

Another question. So, if there is such a smart S/W application (I didn't know about it), then basically you never need to use any equatorial mount/astrotracer. That smart software will eliminate ...

Oh yes, thank you for the explanation!

Very interesting! But I am completely unfamiliar with the astro-photography, so please explain me the following... 1. So, you took 60 pictures each exposed for 60 sec 2. The camera didn't move at ...

Great birds and their pictures! I don't know what is going here in Ottawa, as I haven't seen any bird (with exception of craws) for weeks! There used to be chickadees, nuthatches, cardinals, which ...

Yes, this is exactly what is going on in the photo industry. The DSLR cameras reached their peak! That's why Canon and Nikon (and before them Sony) have abandoned their further development - as ...

I don't agree, as I think that there is not too much left for improvements of DSLR cameras! Even the weakest point: slow AF, has been adequately improved in the latest K3 camera. A new K1 camera ...

yes, that second image is great. If I wasn't so lazy to try something similar. But in the middle of a big (polluted by light) city I doubt that it would work.

Yes, a nice series, but that last picture is extraordinary.

I doubt that there is anything else left for Pentax in the field of APS-C cameras. Their K3/III s apparently completely matured product. Yes, they can come with some variants (mainly colours :-( ) ...

I am not sure what the "thumb grip" is, but I have absolutely no problems with using my Pentax Kp. And I prefer the medium-size grip. It suits my smallest and largest lenses perfectly.

Nice, especially the second one.

Excellent pictures. You really have to have thoroughly clean windows :-) .

Well, don't forget that this a cropped sensor camera, so a standard/normal focal length is 35mm. There is a (relatively) cheap DA 35/2.4 lens, which should suit you well. But beware! Once you ...

Under a given circumstance (determined mainly by the lens), the picture turned very nice. Yes, you might try to (auto) focus on a player, but apparently the basket board (backboard) was the most ...

I think that a camera like GR IIIx is an optimal photographic tool for you. At first, very small and pocketable. Then LV is far less intrusive than bringing camera to your face. And finally that ...

Here I found a relatively good price for a (lightly) used KP + grip: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/115659964232?epid=580367963&hash=item1aeddeff48:g:TSEAAOSwIpJjDNza&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4O1yB0rBFRZXzO4D ...

Jon, if you can get a new KP, this I would name the best achievement of the year! There are no new KP left! But you might be able to get an used camera in a very good shape. Anyway, this is the ...

Of course there is nothing wrong with sharp pictures :-) . Just an over sharpening (even those 30% might be more than enough) causes "halo", in contrasty areas like that rode in your first picture:

Beautiful place and pictures, they are just a little bit over sharpened :-( .
