On article Apple unveils iPhone 7 and dual-cam iPhone 7 Plus (940 comments in total)
In reply to:

halc: How is dual-cam revolutionary, after HTC did it two years ago?

And most of the Chinese phone makers (who sell more than Apple in China, btw) are shipping it in their models this fall too.

Most using Samsung's dual sensor modules, btw.

Apple is a king of marketing and cash-grab.

Removal of the 3.5mm plug is just stupid. There are phones thinner, with bigger batteries that still feature a 3.5mm plug and USB port.

You could still use Apple's "revolutionary advanced" AirPods with iphone 7, even if it had 3.5mm plug.

But it doesn't, because Apple wants you to buy their crappy Beats ("We paid $3 billion for them") headphones AND it wants to sell its force encryption license of lightning headphones to all headphone manufacturers.

And hey, if you want to talk on the phone with headset and recharge it at the same time? Sorry, you are using it wrong. You either charge it or listen to it.

Just plain stupid. I hope people wake up. It's a total cash-grab to justify their Beats purchase.

Dumb, still comes with wired headphones with the adapter to use the charging port, so no difference except one less place for water to cause damage ...

Tyr-Sog: Wish there was a version without the flip screen, touch screen, and video for a little less $$$.

I have a 750, the flip screen has never, ever deployed without me doing it on purpose, thats just rubbish....

On article Apple to cease development of Aperture (425 comments in total)
In reply to:

Jon Porter: Apple took iWork Pages and dumbed it down for Mavericks, making it useless for page layout. Sounds like they're doing the same thing with Aperture. I guess Apple no longer has an interest in developing and supporting higher-end software.

It started with the dumbing down of Final Cut Pro & has been happening ever since...Quite sad if you ask me...

The Davinator: This fake, overcooked, overprocessed look is so tiring I didn't even bother going through them all.

Over cooked? Nice , just repeat all the parrot head comments made on this site. there is nothing overcooked about these images. They are a nice work of art, you should try it sometime, you may impress yourself...

Ginger Snapper: I also think that HDR has had it's day and these photos to me look Cartoon like and fail in capturing the sad reality of these abandoned rooms.
Because they look unreal, you stop wondering about the lives of the people who inhabited them and why they would have left so many of their possessions behind.

Cartoon? Nice jumping on the bandwagon, these photos are nicely done, a bit pre arranged, but nicely done all the same. There is a lot of jealousy out there from people who could not produce such good results...
