grasscatcher: Hardware is one component. Software is another component altogether, and much more difficult to quantify a price. I imagine it is no small feat getting all of the hardware to work well together, with no software crashes or bugs. As someone who has lived through all of the OS since Windows 3.1 (actually, DOS and QDOS for many years before that), I realize that many of today's users have no idea how nice they have it. Just sayin'...

That is after more than 10 years of developing IOS and far more years experience of developing macOS...
