Awesome shot! I'm sure it was great to see him surf in those conditions.

Is this the Sigma or Sony lens?

How do you find the autofocus to work with this combo?
-
I could probably do one of those. Do you have a preference between the Panasonic or Olympus 100-400?

Nice shots! I think now I just need to modernize my camera some to get slightly better AF s well as a telephoto for surfing. I'm sure any more modern camera will be a nice improvement.

Thanks for the post. I think for skiing I would be fine with a 12 - 40/45 but a little more range might be nice for shooting from a distance. The longer telephoto option would be for wildlife on a ...

Very nice photos. Are those in the Cascades? Hopefully we have a bit more snow this season out west.

Great photos! Exactly what I’m looking to hear. Do you think the Olympus 75-300 ii would be a good telephoto to start with or have you had success with any others? I think ideally I would ...

I am thinking of getting an 6400 or 6500 and was wondering what a good telephoto option would be for surf and wildlife. Ideally would like to pick up a second hand lens under 1k. I was ...

The EM1.2 is even cheaper on MPB and prices are pretty good on the EM1.3 at KEH too. Thanks for the recommendation on the FZ300 it does look like a pretty capable alternative. I will have to check ...

Thanks. I have some thinking to do then. I should probably also make a trip to the store to see how they all feel and look size/weight as well. The logical progression with the Sony Axxx would be ...

Thanks. Do you normally shoot 400-600 range for surfing and is that the FF equivalent? That is the one nice thing about M43, it seems easier to get a longer lens due to the 2x crop.

Thanks for the input! I think the get a Fuji body that would be comparable to the Sony A6xxx or Olympus from an autofocus perspective I’d need to get an X-T3, but I may be wrong as I don’t have ...

Currently shooting with a Fuji x-t10, 18-55, 27, & 12 and primarily use it for hiking and landscape photos as well as some astro when I make it to the desert. It works really well for this purpose ...
