Agree, the pictures are not something to be proud of.

@G G: "Unusual does not mean wrong." -- unusual is more likely to be wrong than not. Can you figure it out on your own or do I need to spell...

I used add-on EVF on M3, that was pretty poor experience. This camera is better suited for those who don't want the bulk of an EVF. If you need one the M5 would be a better choice.

The gallery failed, not because it's poorly executed, but because of the subject, which is of no interest to an average photographer. The DPR staff going to a shooting assignment should always ask...

  • If you have a family and children then 35mm FF lens will be an excellent choice. If instead you only have a dog, then 50mm will work better.

But don't judge your needs from EXIF of pictures taken...

@Peak freak, you could have checked yourself, that Sony A7ii is lighter with equivalent lenses than Fuji X-T2.
    X-T2 + 16-55/2.8: 1162g
    Sony A7ii + 24-70/4: 1029g
    X-T2 + 50-140/2.8: 1502g
    Sony A7ii...

  • And since we all consume cooked, the argument about what would it be like eating raw is irrelevant anyway.
  • Replied in Nope.
I definitely disagree with that statement. Science doesn't take any position on non-scientific statements -- they are outside of scope of science. Quantification is the beginning of knowledge, ...
  • I don't know which one is Zeiss. What I do know is that all those claims of a special Zeiss look is a complete bunk. This test is just another evidence of that.
  • @Scot - the reason TS lens has a bigger image circle is to accommodate tilt & shift. It won't be able to perform the same on a large sensor. Lenses are never designed with bigger image circle than...

  • That's true. When there is no way to measure a phenomenon, it might as well exist only in one's imagination. That said, there are known physical effects that make a mind to restore the 3rd ...
  • Maybe one should buy Canon in the first place and avoid 'all pain, no gain' scenario.

  • He'll be able to run for president again -- that is, the president of the inmates union. That's what he should have been doing in 2008 instead of screwing up the american people. You have many ...
  • I suspect the dems will not be so dumb as to try to filibuster the nomination. Ironically, that crazy guy, Kaine(*), who was so delusional that he threatened Republicans with the "nuclear option", ...
  • Everybody who said, "what's the point?" has a point.

  • Best Canon lenses? That's easy: the latest (mk2) versions of 100-400/4.5-5.6 and 70-200/2.8 lenses. Hard to find any failures with those, hard to find anything better in any other system.

    But,...

The explanation is simple. X100F has a soft lens, and X-T20 suffers from a shutter shock, just like X-T10. They should have redesigned that faulty shutter mechanism.

  • Commented on article Fujifilm X-T20 Review

Yes, all Fuji cameras measure at least 2/3 stop higher ISO than Sonys. The actual number would depend on the actual camera model, film simulation mode, H/S tone correction, DR, WB settings, and of...

    And the point is?

You can switch cameras, you can't switch 'photography'.
