I would like to see this type of camera built-in on a mobile phone.

This technique is perfect for couples who want to know what their babies look like throughout their lives. I am sure this going to be a lot of market potentials. Don't say that I didn't warn you.
Now should I set up a company to provide these services to make millions? That is the question.

Mike FL: As far as UWA goes, LG G5 is still the widest, 9mm @16:9.

I bought LG G5 is for its UWA as supplemental 'camera' lens to my cameras, and the only lens, that I have, wider than G5's UWA is fish lens which I still can not find a good way to de-fish it.

In other words, this Huawei is not for me.

I can wait.

@MrTaikitso My good old LG V20 also has the same 135 degree angle UWA lens and I love it too.

tkbslc: I wonder if these prices will stick. Now that we've reached critical mass and even cheaper/old phones are quite good, it doesn't seem like phones are really a status symbol anymore. My teen and her friends no longer even mention what model they have or when they get an upgrade. 3 years ago, it was a big deal for all of them. Same story at work, Nobody really cares or talks about it because everyone has a good phone. Will people be willing to continue paying status symbol prices when it impresses nobody?

Well said. Couldn't agree more.

Peiasdf: This just shows how overpriced Note 9 is when there isn't a single innovation over S9+ and Note 8

Lack of competition in this country that's why.

No mention of the type of sensor. Is it a BSI sensor or not?

It's a shame it only can do 10m. Otherwise we can spot submarines with this thing.

Oh no. I am expecting soon the Chinese Gov. will advise their PLA and their associates to stop using Apple and Cisco products due to 'cyber vulnerabilities'.

makofoto: And if you have an APS camera, look at the Rokinon 12 mm F2.0 for wife, fast AND inexpensive. Being that wide you don't need AF and IS.

Look at the Rokinon 12 mm F2.0 for wife!! That's amazingly romantic. lol.
