Jorginho: I have the Em1.2 and disagree with these conclusions. OSPDAF on the Oly Em1.2 is not reliable. autofocussing in fact is not reliable due to the fact (like many others have witnessed as well) that the Oly just focusses well outside the box you have told it to focus in. Also while after setting the cam up correctly the 100-400 PL works great, the 12-35 and 35-100 f2.8 lenses (markI) don't You can't do a thing with these lenses when it comes to action on the Oly. The Oly EVF is not great either. It is not refined enough for critical focus and its exactly where the cam goes wrong, for instance by focussing on the part in thepic that has the most cntrast. I completely fail to see how the Panasonic does not deserve gold when someone sumarsizes the cam is for "Just about any photographer craving a camera that can handle both high-speed still photography and 4K/HD-video duty. Anyone seeking complete control of their camera". How much better do you want it to get?

It's baffling isn't it.
My jaw dropped when I read the conclusion!
What is DPR trying to say to us?
I owned the olympus EM1.2 and the focussing was
way off numerous times- I returned it after a month of
grappling with it's many foibles!
Panasonic does NOT deserve this insult.

Esstee: Wonder how the AF compares to DSLR's?

Jorginho, Yes S-AF.
The GX8 nails focus say, on a small bird in a tree with lots of thin branches,
but have been unable to get sharp focus on a bird with the Em1.2 (tried many times) even with small af box, the branch will be in focus but not the bird!
I've sold my GH4, will stay with the Em1.2 until the GH5 comes out.

I have been shooting the EM1mk2 side by side with my GX8 and P/L 100-400mm and guess what ? I achieve focus faster with the GX8!!

I wonder if my PC could handle 6K video editing..
Is it just me, I think 1080p is enough for video ?

I'ts not

If you can't immediately see the difference between 4k and Full HD

there's something wrong with either your eyesight or monitor OR

you're in denial,

"Can't rotate LCD with external mic or HDMI cable attached"
Bull just turn the screen

Bull
Just flip the screen towards you flip it arround rotate it back in place. no need to take out any cable.

"No flash included in box"
Fair point they should've included the Lx100 flash

@ Carey Rose,

Why not use the EVF when shooting video? I never use the rear screen. The EVF is one of the best around,

The pics taken with the EM1 are awful and OOF,

the images from the GX8 seem more in focus.

So much more detail in this RAW conversion in comparison to the Jpeg.

The Jpeg is mushy!

Thanks Richard for correcting the price of the GH4, which is now shown as £1299.

Now it can be seen the difference between it and A7S. Especially when the 4k recorder needed with the A7s brings the price up to over £4000! That is £2,700 more expensive!

Clearly the price of the GH4 is an absolute bargain easily within reach of the aspiring amateur.

The price of the GH4 in UK is NOT £1749 as you have listed: it is
£1299 everywhere!

In fact it is only £100 more than Olympus EM1 (£1199).

Also why are you comparing a full frame A7s stills camera with the
micro 4/3 GH4?

Why no mention of that I wonder?

Tried to compare with the Canon M but could not find it in the drop down menu. Why?
