Which one is Picasso? Cause the artist is not Picasso. Really impossible... Doesn't look like a Picasso... Try again!

On challenge Crop Sensor (DX) AND high ISO (5 comments in total)
In reply to:

jcrb: Would really like to know what the camera is, for a lot of new DX cameras 1600 ISO is nothing, for old DX some don't even go that high un-boosted :)

Right. Totally agree. A fair contest could be "A shot at maximum ISO of your camera" Boosted or not...

RuthC: Congratulations, valentin, on your win in this 'One Stem, Many Flowers' challenge, with your evocative and gentle image of a stem of freesias. Your dark background, and the placement of the stem lifts the flowers so our eyes travel along the dark green stem, to the single open blossom, while we have the promise of new buds which will open soon. These spring flowers are one of my favourites because of their marvellous perfume, such a pity we can't smell them here.
RuthC :-)

I love those flowers too. Thank you very much for your inspired themes!

Peter Del: Beautiful, sophisticated image that looks partly drawn; though I've no idea how you did that.

Shot in RAW, then ACR in Photoshop...

tko: Great photo, well deserved win. Now I'm glad I didn't enter, my efforts would have paled.

Thank you! Why not? Is like at lottery: you can't win if you don't buy a ticket...

Albert Valentino: Great picture - proving old tech is not the weak link in taking great pictures. The weakest link is often the photographer, then the lens, then the camera 😉

Thank you! Agree...

asmarlak: Great picture. I had the Olympus E-510/14-54mm lens combo and used them for at least 7 years. I had good fun with that camera, it took many great pictures.

Thanks! I change the 510 for 620, and I'll keep till die, cause I'm not at all interests in video. A lot of money payed for nothing...

AbrasiveReducer: Ouch. That's where a lot of the profit is. It's like lenshoods.

@blurredvision: Yes, but after killing you in cold blood, they say some sorry, in their manner: "Sorry, you can die slowly now!"

On article Fast Five: Sony Cyber-shot RX100 V Review (427 comments in total)

More than five years ago I buy Olympus XZ1. After so much time (and after so much technical evolution) my expectations was to find that camera, with those specifications, at a somehow similar price, even if the sensor is 1". But is more than double. So, don't judge me for my big NO...
