kitsnet: As have been already pointed below, having the same single point of failure for every piece of equipment you need to charge is a bad idea. So, buy and carry at least two of these - or stay away.

@david carlyon Thank you for pointing out that I’m “small minded”. Very nice.

Another solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

Looks pretty nice to me!

The premise of the video is offensive to those that have lost more than a camera in a plane crash.

Maybe at $150 I’d try one of these.

Platinumkid: How often is smart to replace your phone, guys? I'm not talking about the youtuber in the video. I mean in general. Do you buy every new model? Or skip one, like buying 11, skipping 12 and buying 13? I'm asking out of curiosity. My personal phone just turned 3 years old, it's in good shape and I plan no replacement, for example.

Maybe when the trade in price for your phone is 40% of the cost of a new phone?

Pseu_Pseu_Pseudonym: The prices told me Apple doesn't want my family's money.

One particular device is expensive, but the entire ecosystem is absolute highway robbery.

Just curious, what specific things are highway robbery?

Whatever happened to the cellphone camera Kodak was working on with Motorola in the late 90’s?

If you believe all of the expert commentary here, Apple will be filing for bankruptcy soon.

ewelch: Just be prepared to spend a lot of time wearing a gas mask (way worse that what we’ve been using for the pandemic) and a lot of time cleaning up. Photo chemistry is messy, and highly toxic.

I have processed thousands of rolls of E6 and C-41 back in the day with a Wing Lynch at the newspaper I worked at. It is not easy to get right. And it can easily make one sick.

But then photographers have dealt with worse back in the days of mad hatters. (Look it up.)

Where can I buy a “gas mask”?

Cool, but this could have been a 1 minute video and made the same point!

For all the nay sayers, they have almost tripled their goal on Kickstarter. So I guess there are at least 300 people that think this is a good value.

Dragonrider: Kind of funny actually. A company the size of Adobe can't seem to keep their servers from getting hacked and folks buy a $150 drive with $3 worth of software on it and expect it to be bulletproof into eternity. Don't put anything you want really secure in a place that is accessible from the Internet, period.

You had better warn your bank about the dangers of the internet.

I used WD drives 100% and never had an issue until now. Unfortunately, I will never buy another WD product unless they restore MyBookLive to the same functionality it had when I got it. Not to mention restoring my data.

Class action lawsuit anyone?

Windeguy: Nice update but you still can’t zoom to 100% or display the focus point. So for me, it’s mostly useless.

Thanks. But I don't think I was clear. I would like to zoom in to 100% in the import dialog to check for focus. I don't see any way to do that.

Thanks for that. But on my Mac, double clicking only turns on the viewer mode. Can you actually zoom to 100% view by double clicking?
