I would love to see lenses like this (and more compact hopefully) in L-mount. Are Tamron/Zeiss/Voigtlander/Tokina/Samyang likely to join the L-mount alliance or is it a closed shop?

Yes, way too big for f2.8 lenses. What's the point? They look like slr lenses with a mount adapter. I'd rather lose the 1:2 close focus and get rid of all that length up front too. If...

Yes that's right. The five "dark then light" rows on the right hand side. I'll give it a go if the opportunity arises tomorrow evening and post the results. /Mike

I had the Sony FE 21mm f3.5 Skopar and it was great on my A7s and A6000. In fact it was the best "28ish" equivalent on a crop sensor I've ever seen (for my taste anyway). Hopefully the M-Mount ...

Just checked the 35/2.5 PII Color Skopar again and it's a smeary mush right into the corners. Check out the sample below. In the centre you can see where the electric fence in the field is sharp ...

Lol, I get to "try" it so I can return if needed as it's all used gear (apart from the 40 STM). I need to have another go with the skopar in good light before I sell it. just to be sure. I think I ...

Here are a few more samples with the EF IS 28mm this morning out in the garden in the crisp weather. I can definitely see some field curvature which reminds me of the 25mm Zeiss Distagon mk1, in ...

I did buy a 35mm Color Skopar in M-Mount but the corners don't seem great so it's going onto ebay. Also I wasn't massively impressed with the 7Artisans M to L-mount adapter, it's a bit lightweight ...

Hi, yes IS does work with the MC-21. I guess it's not huge but I would like a 28mm the size of the 45mm Contemporary... /Mike

Thanks! Had the op yesterday. Back home today... double hernia and very sore at the moment but up and about! /Mike

They are apples and apples and oranges though. Agreed my Merrill cameras were miles better at 100 or maybe 200 iso in terms of vivid colour and micro-contrast. The DP1 and 2 Quattros were never ...

No worries, here are some at higher ISO from late this afternoon. I'll upload them two at a time as this post keeps crashing... These will be the last for a week or so as I have some surgery ...

Well if it's 20mm shorter and weighs less (the MC-21 is surprisingly heavy) then I'll be all over it!

I hadn't realised I'd uploaded so many at f/2.8 actually. There is a bit or curvature but I don't find it too objectionable. It's quite similar to the old Contax/Yashica 28mm Distagon. There is ...

So that would be the Ridgeway? When we moved out of Oxford to the surrounding villages we could have gone north, south, east or west and ended up in north Oxfordshire and have been there for the ...

It's actually an access track to the allotments in Chipping Norton Oxfordshire. Between the leisure Centre and the allotments themselves. They are maintained and locked with gates and there are ...

Yes, I'm liking it a lot and it's early days yet with the firmware and support. I'd love a native lens that performs as well as the Canon 28mm that's the same size as the 28 without the MC-21. /Mike.
