Searching: I own my version of PL5 and downloaded the trial version of PL6. Using my Panasonic G9, I shot three sample raw photos at ISO 200, 1000 and 6400 (no scientific reason for choosing these ISOs). I converted each raw photo in PL5 and PL6 with all options turned off other than Deep Prime on PL5 and Deep Prime XD on PL6. I exported and saved the files as DNC and viewed them using Fastone Image viewer.

I saw no improvement in PL6 noise reduction. What I did see, is the finished PL5 DNC actually looking a bit better at all the tested ISOs. This was not an exact scientific test, but for me I didn't see anything that would make me buy the upgrade. Others may find different conclusions.

Never checked the output sizes. Files have been deleted. Another item of note was that it took noticeably longer for Deep Prime XD to clean file.

The photos posted look fine, but don't seem to be something that really has a wow factor to them. Many cameras produce photos of equal quality to these.

Don't think your comment is really useful to the thread. BTW I'm not trying to be hateful.

Not sure where the eye-catching style enhancements are. This camera looks very bland and like something I owned made by Canon 20 years ago. Special Editions like this need a bit more imagination.

Searching: The kit in Canadian dollars is 4K with tax. I'm sure about that one.

The point is, it was directed at Canadian forum members, and if I think it's too much money, I don't need you to muzzle those comments. If you think it's a reasonable price, then just say that.

The point is, if you can't grasp it, that it's a lot of money for a camera with a M4/3 sensor. (or any other sensor for that matter). OMD has jacked up the price of everything since they took over. The OMD's build is no where near panasonic's body builds regardless of the seals they put in. Who takes pictures in a rain storm anyway. I've never seen too many.
