I haven't found my 135 that useful for travel. I find my 85 to be my most used lens. As a three lens combo, i am traveling with 20/35/85. I suppose you could do it with with a 24/85. Depends on ...

50 might be too close to 85. Personally, I'd add the 35. 24 and 35 are very different.

Can you post a RAW image at, say 4.9X and 5X? If this is indeed all digital zoom (which I think it is), then the picture at 5X should look a lot better than the one at 4.9X?

After reading the whole thread, this really sucks. So they have a three prime system of 13/26/130 and there is nothing between the 26 and 130? All digital crop? Looks the xperia 1 ii has a much ...

Thank you. Yes very true.

I used LR to correct, and it seemed to crop a bit of the lightning. I haven't used the Skew tool. Is it part of PS? Thanks.

We don't get thunderstorms in California. But we are having some unusual activity in the SF Bay Area right now. Managed to take this on Sunday morning from our balcony. A7R4 and Sony 20 1.8G. I ...

We were dying to know how you decide...

Yes, started happening to my A7R4 in bright sunshine outdoors. It would switch and stay on EVF and would not switch back to the monitor unless I forced it via the menus. I haven't cleaned the EVF ...

Absolutely stunning pictures! Thanks for sharing. I am surprised you have zero comments so far. I guess folks are more interested in gear than actual photography...

I have taken my A7R3 with 35/2.8 in the saddle bag in short trips (20 miles) without any issues.

None whatsoever. I have both the R3 and the R4. I haven’t touched the R3 since I got the R4. It is so good.

I am more of a prime guy. But I also have the 24/70 GM. In terms of color, contrast, sharpness and, more importantly, rendering, it is excellent. It loses out to the primes only because it is not ...

For the moon I always manually meter. Spot meter will give you a correct exposure, but I'm still not seeing why it should affect AF though. As for focussing on a smaller area, you can choose ...

Interesting. Why would metering affect AF?

To me it looks out of focus. Did you focus manually? I focus manually, use silent shooting and a ten second timer. ISO 100, 1/40s

Why do we need a 50GM when the 50 ZA 1.4 exists?
-
I don't have any issues with my R4. It is tack sharp at 1.4 with the 50 1.4 and 85 1.4. You don't actually say what kind of problems you are having and what settings you are using. Some pictures ...

I have the 35/1.8. But it is not a GM. Ideally a 35/1.4 GM.
