It looks like a lens with a phone around it.
Are people still thinking Leica is not for snobs with money?
I doubt a tiny lens can resolve 200MP. It's hard for comparatively large FF lenses to resolve 40MP.
Laws of physics doesn't change because of Samsung publicity stunts.
f/8 is a very dark lens for an APS-C sensor.
By invoking political correctness and being woke, Google makes sure its fake generating algorithms won't imitate the truth.
But after DAL-E and imagen, nobody stops other teams in the future to release their algorithms and trained models. Unless we make it illegal.
voyeurb: Good thing I live in Europe, this much focus on identity politics is nauseating.
It's not like we don't have issues with wokism in Europe.
redtailboas: So basically it needs to be "woken" before people can use it. Lol. What a joke.
For sure that will be others that will release the source code for their algorithms for free. And even the trained models.
AI will reflect what people think. It's weird to call people or the society biased just because they don't agree to your own point of view.
This means EOS M is dead?
Are there many blind photographers?
Pseu_Pseu_Pseudonym: $250 for a very slow 1tb sd card?
More like $250 to enhance the storage for an expensive laptop with meager storage.
I see nothing to dislike in this camera. Now Nikon has to improve the cheaper cameras and release more lenses.
DeathArrow: Let's see how Apple compares at price/performance ratio with PCs.
As Alder Lake has better IPC than anything Apple M1, I would expect Apple to have good prices to be competitive.
@Raist3d this article is about desktops. Try to focus.

Vignes: The reason why watches is like Rolex are very popular, early days watches were mechanical and these watches were some of the most accurate watches. So, this made them like benchmarks, but ever since digital watches came out that claim of accuracy went out of the window. So now these brands of mechanical watches are just like classic jewellery same as Leica in the camera world. There is no technical advantage, but they are pitched as novelty as a new jewellery to own them. That’s how these companies survive and what’s worse is they take their time to adapt to new technology and sometimes they don’t. For this brand users (who doesn’t use other brands), anything new these brands throw at them is something great. But for other users, we tend be ‘scratching our heads’ thinking what is so great about this feature. So, it’s pointless to advice this users. So everyone enjoy you prized possession.
A top tier watch is something you can pass from generation to generation. A camera will get old fast.
But I guess that if you own a Ferrari and wear expensive clothes, you can't show up at meetings with snob friends with a Canon, Nikon or, God forbid, Sony camera. They will worry you have lost your money and started working as a photographer. Which, in their regard, is on the same level as the valet, chauffeur or waiter.

Luxury watches are part jewelry, part craftsmanship, part investing in marketing to convince gullible people to pay a lot just for the name.
Delicate, complex, accurate mechanical movements in watches can be a thing of beauty.
I see myself paying more for higher tier Swiss watches. However, I regard cameras as tools, especially digital cameras. I won't pay more for the looks and brand name. I will buy what provides the better bang for the buck.
Also, watches do retain their value in time better. And if if buy an automatic Swiss watch now, after 20 years it will keep the time just as good as a new released watch.
Rolex are for newly rich guys who want to show off. Connoisseurs tend to look after Jaeger LeCoultre, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Piaget, Ulysses Nardin, A. Lange & Sohne, Breguet, Jaquet Droz, Vacheron Constantin, Blancpain.
If we consider only heritage, Blancpain made their first watch almost two centuries before Leica made their first camera.
architekt_1: Did Viltrox publicly denounce genocide in Xinjiang?
Did you publicly denounced genocide of comments sections on DPReview?
thx1138: So little Viltrox can release AF lenses for Nikon Z mount, what the hell are Tamron and Sigma up to?
Nothing, unless Nikon sells way more cameras.
For half the price of the Mac you can build an Alder Lake desktop with greater performance. Unless you absolutely have to use a laptop, that is the best way to do it.
(unknown member): Camera forums are crowded with too many self-appointed “Sony ambassadors” who drink too much kool aid and can't take the cold truth: If sony stops making money with any device they will simply kill it or might even abandon the whole category if they see fit, as they have done in the past, walkman, Vaio, remember?
The chip shortage argument is BS, they are killing old unprofitable cameras and giving a lousy argument everybody will buy period.
>If sony stops making money with any device they will simply kill it or might even abandon the whole category if they see fit
As will do any other manufacturer.
We wouldn't have high end Canon end Nikon mirrorless bodies if it wasn't for Sony. Competition is nice.
Now Canon and Sony will feel a pressure and will need to respond. Which will in turn determine Nikon to release an even greater camera.
