I would really like to hear your approach to expressions!

I like the one with the red light on the face best. The next one (blue background, lit from below) is good too, but I the ring light gives a reflection in the eyes that just looks too artificial.
-
Hello, How do you choose backgrounds and colours to best complement the face of the model? What are your big no-nos ? Do you take eye, hair and skin colours into account? Do you match clothes to ...

That evening I have done several pictures with reflector to the other side. I edited the sweater as well to make it a little more visible too. What do you think? Color or B&W? I pushed the contrast ...

Next time I will wear something different (not dark, but medium) to avoid "floating head"

Hello, I have tried making low key black background selfies with one source of light. What do you think? The post-processing was minimal. Is it too contrasty? Do you prefer color or B&W?

I'll put it to 0 to start to see if I often have problems. I'll maybe put a -2/3 in summer when there's more sun and reflections Thank you all!

Hello, I'm a new happy owner of a 6D. Until now, I've been using only mirrorless micro 4/3 cameras, where the viewfinder and the LCD give already the image adjusted for exposure compensation (and ...

It is quite strange to have no Idea of exposure through viewfinder. It's even stranger when the camera finds the focus but you don't even see of what (in low light).

Hello! I have always used mirrorless cameras (m43) and now I have bought a full frame DSLR. What difficulties did you encounter? What things felt strange to you? Did you get used to it quickly?
-
If you do travel and street, m43 seems perfect: light, small especially when you include lenses, inexpensive. When going out for a day, I take my Olympus EM10 with 14-150mm zoom and a small fast ...

Hello, I'm interested as well. A mental checklist would be great! Ideally, a checklist for before the session, during the session and after it (for example during postprocessing)
-
Hello, Well, I actually did read them all and I settled on buying a 6D. I will receive it next week and report to the thread. Thank you all for the advice!

No, for now I took pictures I have already taken this autumn and summer during my bike rides. But next time I'm going out, I'm definitely shooting with the possibility of AI in mind. Plus I really ...

-
Hello, I've been playing around with Midjourney AI, and I tried to transform my photos into impressionist paintings. My region had a fair number of impressionists painting landscapes here and local ...

I think I need a normal established photographer who does portraits and families for critique and suggestions for the photography first and foremost. I think I can manage the business side ...

Hello! I'd like to start a side gig of taking portraits of people, kids and families in my local area. I would like to find a mentor online to take a look at the results and make critiques and ...

Hello, I wonder what do you think will be the price trend for Canon DSLR bodies and EF lenses? Will the longtime users start selling the bodies and lenses? Or sell the bodies but keep the lenses? D ...

I do own a speedbooster already, and I had a good deal on a used 50mm 1.4. So it's an easy way to get a configuration for occasional use cheaply. I also own 7artisans 35mm f/0.95, and I quite like ...
