PetoneOldBoy: The swallow flying through broken window is crazy.
I've been trying to photograph these for a while, and needing a shutter speed of a Minimum of 1/2000 sec to freeze them- often 1/3000 (on my Fuji APSC) when birds are flying straight ahead. f11 seems very slow too, especially combined with ISO 200.
Almost physics defying! Crazy.

Check out Feathered Photography (Ron Dudley)

I managed to take some goodshots of these birds witout flash with a modest D5600 and a 55-200 basic lens.
But those birds are FAST; it took me 4 hours and I ended up with only 4-5 good shots.

On article Opinion: Camera names are getting ridiculous (706 comments in total)

Just name them like a class of things. Like for example "Mango, Papaya, Banana," etc.
or "Cheesecake, Hamburger, Udon, Spaghetti".
Piece of cake! Yum...

I wonder how does this compare with my Nikkor AF-D 85/1.8...

Looks like the grandson of my 200/5.6 Medical Nikkor.

haylebob: nice but much too expensive for normal users in my opinion

Normal users will get the 200-500/5.6.
Great lens for the price.

The picture with the cheetah grabbing the impala and that of the sipping bat are marvellous, crazy difficult to take and unique.

Kamox: I bought three iPhone SE in total. One, I bought used for approx. $150, the other one was new, bought in 2018 for $250.
I only bought one in 2016 at full price. Which I passed on to my father. Who still uses it everyday, after having used his iPhone 4 since 2009.
The SE is a great phone. Small, sturdy and plenty of power to do anything short of gaming. I'll buy this SE2 for sure. In a year.
If all Apple clients were like us, Apple would be bankrupt by now :)

I see that irony is not understood here. I rephrase.
Apple bases its business on a huge markup on its products.
70-80% of the profits of the whole smartphone market goes to Apple, which only sells a minority of the whole smartphone volume.
Lose the markup, lose the business.

I wish you could get the jokes contained in the names :D those people are hilarious as much as they are competent, as you can see from the video.
Banco ottico = view camera.
Branco = herd
Branco ottico = kinda "optical herd"
"Roba apposta" = "stuff just made for it" (very informal slang, may refer to anything, if you know Italian you can't avoid smiling seeing a product with that name)

I wonder when a laptop will use this chip.
It's way more than enough for general office use and drains way less energy than a motherboard with cpu and integrated gpu.

Kamox: Just buy a D5600 with Nikon's 10-20mm, like I did.
Small and light combo, fantastic price-value proposition.
Sure, FF and all, but in the end the difference on a well made print simply is not worth the extra hassle and money.

Weight.

4x5 plates? 8x10?
Collodium?
Lens? Camera?
And above all: number of SD slots?

I'm on the market for a compact travel camera.
This or a Fuji X-A5 with the 18mm f/2 lens?

I really like the camera but I'd prefer a wider lens.
Give me the same camera with an M-mount and I'll buy it right away.
For a lower price, that is.

$3000 for a Summaron which gives you (quoting from the official site) " visible vignetting". Nice.
