But where are the fast primes. I was expecting at least a Lens Roadmap for the next 2 years, but nothing just a new all around lens which is for sure good for the system, but not enaugh IMHO.

Come on canon give me a 24 equiv f2.0, a 50 equiv f2.0 and an 85 f2.0 equiv and I drop my Fuji system.

jato, there is an ecosystem around the canon system (not the eos m, but canon), for instance a really complete and consistence Flash system, this is my may complaint right now with my beloved the fuji system. Don´t get me wrong, I own the Xpro 2 and love it, same as my 16 f1.4, my 35 f2 and 60 f2.4, but i tis just about the lighting. If Nissin or Prophoto would come out with a Fuji support, then i would never think into change Fuji by canon.

kape06111: DO not understand this. It would make more sense without the Translucent Mirror IMHO.
Nevertheless good news for the A-mount users.

The A7rii has already more than 300 phase detection focus points.

On article The big beast: hands on with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 (1296 comments in total)

I have this camera since one week and can only say:"I love it". The ergonomics is awsome, de viewfinder is big, clear and no lag, everything work flawless and really smooth and the sensor, i keep reading there is not that much improvement in comparison with the previous one, but under my expereince there is much more infromation in the files coming from Gx8 than the files coming from the E-M5II (my previous cam).

In general very happy, the only con i see until now is the function button located between the lens and the grip, it can be activated accidentally and depending on the funtion it has, it may be annoying.

I really like this lens, and the only thing that keep me away from it is the missing focus scale.

Why did Voigtlander not include a focus scale on it? Come on it is a ML. It is a pity. it would be ideal for street ph.

D135ima: Good resolution ! Great lens ! But Sony still need a cheap normal focal leight AF lens - ordinary lens for resonable price.

May be the sony 28 f2fit in your description.

kape06111: Why is there no size comparison, with other mirrorless camera. Or even with DSLR? I mean to have a better sense of the weight and volume.

I don´t care about weak, strong or whatever.
For me a comparison side by side is information. And I prefer to avoid going through thousands of website to search for it.

I cannot not see the point of discussion here. I would prefer to have a view of the size and that is.

Why not? it is information, that may help someone to take a decision or even start looking at the camera.
And mainly today when the size is getting a big point.

On article Sony Alpha a7 II Review (850 comments in total)

hey this time i don´t understand DPR reviewers at all. I was already starting to doubt about the objectivity of them previously (Nikon DF not Awarded, Canon 70D gold awarded , but the 7DmII just silver awarded, and the best Nikon D600 "Gold awarded and 87 points", being a camera with a lot of defects and replace 6 months later by Nikon because of that and you may continue mentioning cases).
Now the A7 II, This is the best mirrors camera out there, much better than the others A7s, A7 and A7r, Better ergonomic (Grip, shutter button position, more customizable buttons and better located, IMHo better body shape), much much better built quality, incorporate a really new feature (not just more Mpx, or more fPs), but Image stabilization in body, great low Iso performer, great EVF, great video capabilities (better that in the A7 and A7r). I don´t get it. in the examples, i much prefer the file of the A7II compare to the files from D750, just more detail there. Now i pretty i want a A7II.

In reply to:

forggie5: I bought the a6000 camera body last month and have been so frustrated finding a good standard zoom lens for this e-mount camera. The 16-70mm seems like the one to go but I was hoping to get one with a 2.8 aperature. Is there a sigma or tamaron lens that would work better or some other lens that isn't over $2000? I don't want to regret moving from the canons but this hunt seems so much more difficult than anticipated, and I don't necessarily want to put an adapter on which would defeat the purpose of getting this lighter weighted camera as well. Any thoughts?

Try to use primes, better Image quality and less weight. Sony and Zeiss have nice and High quality primes for this system.
