Great, if Pentax a 645X with 100mp I might be able to afford a used 645Z in a few years.

In terms of resolution Phase One > Pentax 645Z > A7 III pixel shift > Pentax K-1 Pixel shift.
However the colors look unnatural on the sony A7III didn't notice this one the A7 II in normal mode. What has sony done with the images.
In terms of everything else the A7 III looks great. Its too bad sony is keeping this sensor for themselves. Nikon went elsewhere and Pentax will have to be patient.

belnan: Funny I didn't see the 645Z on the list of tested cameras. I guess they never tested it, oh wait they did. It scored 101. Not that 1 point means anything but it speaks to their integrity I think.

I didn't notice but it had already been discussed at length. Just look over at most popular threads.

Here are some anyway.

Have to read a bit to see the mention.

I remember seeing it one the dxo site but seems to be missing now.Maybe they had a reason for pulling it.

Alex Sarbu: First camera? That's not true - the Pentax 645Z was tested and got 101 points.
For some reasons, DxOMark decided not to publish the test. Unfortunately for them, the results leaked into another article so we found out.

sorry I basically repeated your comment should of read further down.

ekaton: When compared to the A7rII, Pentax K1, Canon I don't see the Nikon pulling ahead and I am surprised how good the inexpensive K1 performs at high iso.

I'm even more surprised at how good the crop sensors are, d500 and KP are pretty damn good.

The title may possible be true, but its also true of many cameras. Yes but this one is the latest and greatest...until the next thing comes along. Then that camera can be the only one you will ever need.

I agree the title is stupid. It might as well read "the only review about the d850 you have to read. just click here"

The camera sound great btw

drummercam: Looks like Pentax K-1 wins.

For me and likely 99.99% of photographers the K-1 or D810 more than we need. But if you want the extra FPS and top notch autofocus fill your boots. The megapixel race is old already.

The A9 looks like a great camera, really does. But man does dpreview ever like sony I mean really really like sony. I guess we all have our favorites.

I see plenty of new camera's that are just as ugly if not more so, many of them mirrorless. Why are we so hung up on looks? Besides it will likely look better in the hand than it does in these close up shots make it look. It actually looks large in these pictures which surely isn't the case since it is no bigger than the k-3.

"She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid."

You could say that about almost every camera that is released with a few exceptions. So what is your point? Really

Obviously not meant as an action cam, I guess it focuses on IQ and ergonomics. Which may be the best in class, if the IQ betters the already amazing k-70 it should be stellar. I like the look, almost like a mini K-1.

OK that is one ugly camera, I would like to see a shoot out between this and the Pentax K-01, a bit homely as well. One cost a thousand dollars more and also has slowish autofocus. Stop comparing this to the leica, they made it look like a leica so you would do that, smarten up dpreview. Shootout vs K-01 lets see it. Show us what you get for 1700 bucks!
