I had the same issue. I went with the R5. I'm happy. I honestly like the resolution. I crop from time to time so I basically wanted more resolution.

Oh, sorry. No, the RF 50mm F1.2 L USM is my favorite lens of all time.

I use the 50mm about the same as my other two lenses. I use it as a daily carry believe it or not.

I don't notice any issues at all. The 28-70 is the 2nd best lens I've ever shot with, period.

All I know is the RF 50mm F1.2 L is the best lens I've ever owned or used, period.

I know I'm the oddball out here, but I travel with my 28-70 & 70-200. For flight related trips, I take them in my Think Tank Retro Backpack, no worries.

You're going to hate me for this suggestion, but I came to Canon for a lens... the RF 28-70 F2.0 L.

Heck yeah, the EOS R is an outstanding camera. Once the firmware updates are current, the autofocus is pretty darn spot on. 30MP is awesome. The build is on par with the R5.

I just went through the very same. I owned an R6 and I was torn between the R5 or R6 II. I went with the R5. I knew, deep down, I wanted that resolution. It's as simply as that.

In the past, I was a D90, D300, D600, D700, D800, Z5, Z6 & Z7 shooter. I ended up with a Canon R5. Best camera I have ever owned.  I was ready for a change and I fell in love with the RF 28-70 F2.0.

RF 28-70mm F2.0 L is my favorite lens that I've ever owned, period.
