Size and weight are probably the most important of all ergonomics. By that measure - Nikon and Canon's offering are closer to the refrigerator in comparison.

The smaller mount allows both the lenses and the body to be smaller and lighter without any compromise. But some people like big and heavy cameras, Nikon and Canon make those.

It's a good sensor, and interesting to see the very different approach Sony and Nikon offer photographers. Two excellent, but very different cameras for different buyers.

I would have thought the Casio QV10 as the first consumer digital camera. The oddballs I always wanted was the Sony QX1 or QX100.

Usually, I run away from the most popular, most sold, most exclusive etc., determined by the unwashed masses. This kind of marketing has the opposite effect on me.

Too many of us use ergonomics when what we really mean is preference. The size of the grip for example.

Sony does not make a camera with a non-removable vertical grip - what were they thinking?!?
