On photo Foggy in San Francisco in the Summer Vacation challenge (1 comment in total)

Are you sure you entered this in the right challenge? This is summer vacation not "foggy as in misty". October is not also generally considered to be summer.

What does this photo have to do with the theme Summer Vacation?

Please ensure that your capture date is in the Summer season. I will count June, July, August and September as Northern Hemisphere summer and December, January, February and March as Southern Hemisphere summer.

Is this taken at the airport? This appears to be taken in the air?

Great image! I had planned to go to this museum earlier this week, but we were unable to travel to Washington D.C. I hope to go when things get back to normal.

On photo Monument Valley Bikers-4570 in the Competition Motorbikes challenge (1 comment in total)

I do not think these are competition motorcycles and I am therefore considering disqualifying this entry. I would welcome any other views.

@MannyZero Unfortunately, it is not me who judges (hosts cannot vote, they can only disqualify!). Thanks for your participation. It is a shame that people do not generally comment on why they marked a picture up or down.
@Swald Thanks for the explanation and background. I won't disqualify as this met the criteria of the contest as it is a "picture" of a 50s, 60s, 70s car and I specified that any processing was acceptable. Congratulations on coming first. It was clearly a "picture" that resonated with the voters and as you said, virtually nobody voted it down and no-one complained at the voting stage.

Perhaps Swald can enlighten us? Composite entries are not really what I intended when setting this challenge but I set no specific processing rules and even if I had, I think it would be difficult to enforce consistently.

On photo FOLLOW ME... in the Public Transit Buses challenge (1 comment in total)

This looks like a tram to me and not a bus.

On photo High speed train in Paris Gare du Nord in the Railway Infrastructure challenge (1 comment in total)

I think that the train is too dominant in this photo under the rules of this contest under the rule:
"Images can contain rolling stock and people but they should be incidental and not the main subject of the photo."
I am therefore minded to disqualify this but does anyone else have any thoughts?

On challenge My best vehicle photo of 2019 (3 comments in total)

Thanks for all your submissions. Photos not taken in 2019 have been withdrawn or disqualified. I have not removed any photos for content as all contain vehicles or parts of vehicles and I will allow voters to decide whether a landscape shot with a distant vehicle truly reflects the subject of the challenge. This is now open for voting. Please vote fairly!
