For still photographers the lack of a G9 Mark II might be fueling the concern that Panasonic may not continue developing a non video centric flagship body.

Prefer the tilting screen that I had on the EM1.1, and was disappointed they went to the fold out screen on the EM1.2. However the EM1.2 was such a significant upgrade I bought it anyway. Getting ...

1.Panasonic has not released an MFT camera with PDAF 2. Is Panasonic going to release anymore MFT still oriented cameras? I believe all anyone has seen are rumors that Panasonic is "working" on a ...

I got the 42.5 as a package deal with a used GX8, I’ve since sold the GX8 but kept the lens and use it very occasionally on the Olympus EM1.2. I liked the images with the PL lens more than I did ...

on my iPad, when I open a picture in Photos, I can delete it ( trash can icon on upper right) and it deletes from the iPad and iCloud. You can select as many images as you like and delete them all. ...

Absolutely. If I know I'm taking portraits I use the Panasonic 42.5. For mixed photography, event snapshots, with occasional group and individual portraits normally use the Olympus 12-40. When ...

Any brand camera and sensor size can take decent portraits. Certainly MFT can produce a good portrait, but so can full frame cameras, APSC, and medium format. It's more about lighting, ...

Very nice images. However I don't find the 12-40 f2.8 any challenge to carry, even all day. So really see don't see the point to giving up f2.8 for 4.0 to save a few grams.

Yep. Very nice lens but the focal length range is simply not that useful. Was hoping Olympus would have done 50-200 as a replacement for the FT 50-200SWD.

In your review comparing the 75-300 with the FT 50-200 plus 1.4 TC, I was surprise how good the image from the 75--300 was. I don't shoot telephoto very much and have been relying on the old ...

Probably the best advice. Not knowing the lighting or the distances makes lens selection problematic. Maybe take the 50-200 and hope for the best, and portrait lens for after the ceremony The ...

Depending where you buy from I don’t see any down side. With a few exceptions, all my gear was bought used. Both KEH and MPB offer 6 month warranty. Recently bought an EM1.2 and PL 8-18 from MPB ...

It was taken in Roatan, at about 40-50 feet. A group of us were diving from a Peter Hughes live aboard boat. I didn’t record the specific dive site in my log.

An odd ball option. I used this lens extensively on the old FourThird bodies, with the adapter it works acceptably on the EM1 and EM1.2. It does hunt and does not provide blazing AF. It does ...

No, sold all my manual focus lenses. On a modern camera, especially with PDAF, I find the Af is more reliable and far quicker.
