Again, what is this? What conversation are you referring to?
I simply made a statement and you are trying to have some sort of debate about it with irrelevant made up stories about travel and me trying to run some sort of conspiracy.
Its just weird if you ask me. But fascinating at the same time :)

Either way, no point in arguing. I said what I thought about the situation in relation to how things often are with most cameras. Nothing more than that.

As a fun experiment while passing time on a train I checked 10 random people that express some smug comment about Leica, Leica users and how bad their cameras are, etc.
(btw I don't own a Leica at this time and am brand agnostic)

Guess how many of them had actually owned a Leica and therefore had some sort of idea behind their comment?

Yup, you guessed it, a big fat ZERO :)

Just LOL...

You have some weird logic and its almost as if you are talking to someone that isn't visible to the rest of us. Almost paranoid like.

Why are you asking me?
And why make a big deal of a firmware bug that might affect you if you had the camera and if so you get a new camera, problem solved.

My point was, Fuji doesn't replace your camera, they force me to accept it. And Sony... their cameras are bricked every two minutes from overheating. Even their phones are. And they call it a feature.

I think they both could learn something from Leica and Blackmagic about fixing problems fast instead of putting their heads in the sand.

photogeek: Nothing a $300 firmware upgrade couldn't fix. Customer pays shipping to and from Germany, of course.

Isn't charging for some BS firmware Panasonic's thing?
And even worse, it was already in the camera. But you had to pay to unlock it with some bogus USB key.
Talk about a waste of presious resources and putting strain on the environment for nothing.
Luckily it got hacked.

Jozef M: Don't you love Leica? They bring out a camera without testing their own EVF ... They are the BEST !

Neither does Fuji and Nikon from the looks of it.
And Sony... I dont even think try turning their cameras on.
If they did the factory would burn down..

Tom Barry: Running out new products that haven't been rigorously tested is no way to enhance a company's reputation.

Then Fuji and Sony is in big trouble...

Lots of hate and jealousy as usual from people that never used a Leica.

Gaelic Memories Photography: An absolute nonsense of a camera, form over function gone mad and the real kick in the pants you have to pay ridiculous money for it. No doubt it will hang from the necks of people with more money than sense. As a fashion statement it could be classed as beautiful, as a functional camera though that's a different matter entirely.

Nah, its definitely function first.
Ive used the original T quite a bit and its a camera that doesn't get in your way. It makes you focus on the subject.
At least imo.

Doesn't matter, will buy many rolls of this. The 35mm version is one of my favorites.
Unmatched colors (specially by digital standards).

Well, I shoot and develop reversal film in my homr today. And I think you are glorifying your memories a bit.
Most pros used reversal to get a positive and funky over saturated colors.

I have the same thing, but from Kipon... In my experience a better brand of the low cost spectrum with higher quality.
I specially love my Leica M to Fuji XF adapter with macro.

Even my XT2 can't make that list.

I don't think there is a point in trying to convince one another. I just voiced my opinion and its not for you to argue or challenge. You just have to face it.

Also, I consider myself a photographer, not a "camera guy" who only cares about specs. I care about the final result, nothing more. And then you cant look at numbers.

50mp is useless if you can't get the camera out of the house...

Nikonparrothead: I remember mine fondly. Boy could it eat batteries. I need as many batteries as I did SD cards. But a fun camera.

Compared to modern cameras the battery is really good though.
