txsizzler: Will this app be coming to the Android system with its superior cameras over iOS?

Can you please link these sites that claim the superiority? Do you mean controls compared with the default camera app? Because I agree, however 3rd party have some of the best apps in the mobile business on iOS. If you mean picture quality? Again this comes down to what you shoot how you shoot, alot more comes down to the photographer knowing his tools, less about the tools.

LaurenceSvirchev: re: RAW files. Many media commentators are promoting this aspect of the phone camera, but I see nothing in Apple's promotional material about this. If it is true, then the default application for downloading is Apple's "Photos," which right now is a jpg file. So how will we get a RAW file out of the iPhone 7? I san upgrade of Photos being planned for the release of the iphone 7?

I'd like to see dpreview journalists doing a bit more investigation before they join the herd & pronounce joyous news.

Its available via 3rd party software, Apples 'Camera App' wont support it.

Why don't they invest in improving the camera RAW support, instead of flogging more unneeded online 'support'!

Mark Forman: The rise of mirrorless and recently a lack of innovative new product is not helping.
After many years I sold most of my Canon gear in December and went with Sony which is finally getting it.

I did the same, Sony seem to be making all the right decisions.
