  • Depending what you plan on using your binoculars for?  For birding 8x45 or 7x35 work very well and are easy to hold steady. Going up to 10x50 or 7x50 makes it harder to hold steady for small ...
  • Actually I have both...I recently picked up a refurbished Olympus E-M5iii as a back-up to my Panasonic G9. I mainly wanted the Olympus for shooting long exposure evening and night images and as a ...
  • As others have already mentioned, size and weight are important.  Plus, available lens/bodies with weather resistance is important for me too. Cross platforms is a nice touch as well.
  • Yes, having access to external programs/plug-ins is valuable/useful. Thanks for pointing out Photoline. I have never heard of that program so will check it out.
  • Thanks...I will check FastRAW out. I am not familiar with it.
  • Well...seems I was able to get it to work after much trial and error. I went back into set-up for external programs, double checked all settings, renamed program and it worked. What caused it not ...
  • I thought about that too so I reinstalled it and that changed nothing. So, I am going to bounce this off the ACDSEE tech staff to see what they think. Everything else in the program works as it ...

  • Matt, down the road I do plan on Affinity Photo as I used it on my Mac and found it very useful. but for processing a bunch of images quickly I need a different program. Right now I am testing out ...
  • Glen, I am trying to send it to Topaz Studio 2. ACDSEE Pro has no trouble opening up Topaz but when it opens no image is there to edit. With my older Mac Studio 6 it would send to Topaz and open ...
  • Replied in Mac or PC
I am now in the process of deciding which PC photo editing program or programs to use.  I am trailing ACDSEE Studio Pro as I used Studio 6 on my Mac so am somewhat familiar with it. However, the ...
  • Thanks for your input it is much appreciated.
  • I am doing a trail for ACDSEE Studio Pro...it is much more complicated than the Mac version which is quite streamlined. Anyway, I configured external editor but when I select an image in acdsee ...
  • I am familiar with Darktable and have used it quite a bit on the Mac.  Will take a look at Digikam. Thanks.
  • Replied in Good Luck!
Thanks for clarifying. Yes, the Mac version has a DAM and can develop RAW files easily.
  • Ditto from me as well. Plus, they keep updating and improving it all the time.
