@Scrollop Cheaper than rivals? You sure? It's more expensive than Sigma new 35mm 1.2 and twice expensive as Sigma 1.4 version, so what are you talking about?

I would say, 5k is a sweet spot - enough to edit most of the footage at full res + some space for editing tools.
-
Whoa, super images! I use D850 and same Sigma, it's a great lens but I never thought it would work on MF. Great news!

Seems like Fuji lens masters were inspired by the "legendary" Sony 16mm 2,8 and somewhat copied it (corner/side sharpness).
-
The sad thing is by February or March it will be even more outdated
-
I somehow liked that weird camera. Too bad it had no evf
-
2900$ buys you D850 which is a DSLR on the league of it's own.

Something like 8 core and 32gb ram does not need to upgraded in my workflow. Somehow I managed to edit 8k 360videos, or 250mpx panoramas in photoshop without a a lot of trouble.
-
on base iMac Pro it opens images from D850 just fine (not instant, but fast enough for normal workflow)., editing sky is instant, but when it crashes, it crashes so badly it needs a reinstall.
-
I use Luminar 4 for some cases but when it crashes, it crashes to the point where I must reinstall it. Exporting is also painfully slow
-
I bet something like M1X will be total beast in the new iMac Pro.

People portraits could not be flatter
-
For unbeated DR and general image quality: D850
-
Too bad that system is the most influential one
-
benchmarks on M1: striking, impressive Windows boys: Meh, IBM486 is still far superior than any mac ever made. BSOD.
-
Test showed that M1 Air plays and edits R5 footage without a dropped frame with rendering off.

I am proud i live basically a kilometer away from Pixelmator office.
