On article Light L16 packs 16 cameras into a single portable body (398 comments in total)

This camera is very futuristic. A flat panel form factor, no bulky lenses, high resolution, high dynamic range. The camera may be expensive but it only break my bank once. I don't have to invest so many lenses for it and I can bring it all the time and all day long. The form factor could be designed as a extremely waterproof camera in the future model. But the front of the camera look insane.

I expect the image quality will better than fuji X100T.

papa natas: See what happens when you criticize and criticize Canon cameras?
Their EGO gets hurt!!!
And now they are punishing us by withholding this new camera for our consumerist pleasure.

flatrion: Where is the 'T' comes from ? It does not resemble Contax T, it is not made of titanium.

The "T" may stands for "Touch". Just guess.
"M"stands for Messsucher, which is German for Viewfinder. It could be written as "Meßsucher", that's the way the Germans write it.

It is probably the most arguable camera review by dpreview. So many comment against it. I think dpreview should review their review on GX-7 and redo the review. Huh!

The layout of RX1 is even better than Nex series. I hope Sony would make the lense interchangeable for the next RX series model.

On article Leica teases 'Mini M' for 11th June release (304 comments in total)

When a product model called Mini. It would be smaller and less function. When it named with M. It should have the M mount. I guess it is manual focus with the M mount, cannot use R lenses without adapter, no rangefinder, focusing with high resolution live view lcd display panel, with focusing aid indicator, optional Visofles EVF2, metal cast body, less weight and smaller size than Leica M, still full frame and same resolution as Leica M, price about USD4500. Just guess, don't be too serious.

good idea, but it is even better if it uses QNX platform because it doesn't crash.

Thank you Leica for let me waiting so long!! This is the one I dreamed for, high resolution FF sensor, live view display, can use both M and R lenses. Being using the M6 for years, then put it down for another years since shooting digital became the main stream and buying film become inconvenient. But I didn't join the Nikon or Canon big family. I used the Sigma dp1 and dp2 instead. Em.., I think it is the right time to buy me a new Leica. I feel I'm coming home.

I am never able to imagine any camera factory of any brands would launch a camera with a monochrome sensor.

it seems this version using a metal dial on the control panel which seems very different from the current M9-P. But why no the back view photo of the camera?

Does Hermes still own some shares of Leica?
Anyway, it a nice minimal design camera but I wish it has a little Leica logo engraving on the metal plate.

On article Just Posted: Olympus OM-D E-M5 review (577 comments in total)

The body design of OM-D E-M5 is very outstanding and look smart. It is not a bad idea of this new retro shape. Personally, I like it.
I always think that almost every dslr in the market looks like black soaps, they are similar organic curvy round shape body design. This shape design probably invented by Canon since EOS series in the 80's. it was the golden decade of Canon, which nearly knocked down Nikon. Afterwards, every brands followed this kind of curvy round shape. Including the giant Nikon.
Furthermore, according to the performance and photo quality of OM-D E-M5, I guess it will win many awards of this year, EISA award and the others...
