Gotta love the tremendous image quality. Such amazing detail and lack or artifacts.

acidic: The 40mm pancake is obviously a a sign that Canon will be going mirrorless soon.

Or maybe not.

A mirrorless could make 'em some money. A small APS-C Canon mirrorless would be a solid tourist camera.

I don't add valuable photos to FB... only a few snaps and delete pix I deem valuable every month or so. Facebook is fun.

Now if only the Sony NEX had lenses of this quality.

jmmgarza: Now... a high-quality black ink only large-format ink jet printer.

Yes, I hate spending hundreds on color ink that I won't use, that eventually settles into the cartridge as worthless goo.

I love the idea of seeing distinct pixels.

The Koreans are kicking "nalga" and taking no prisoners. This country is making Japan and Germany look like slackers. Now if they can only get their brothers to the north to cool it, the world would be a happier place.

Leica lenses are great and their cameras timeless. The photos look fabulous. Some may want to whine about this... but it is the truth. Again... the photos look GREAT!

Element42: I am probably not enlightened yet so excuse my beginner's question:
aside from a Leica being a great quality camera what is the point of a B&W sensor? Would I not be off eqaully well by taking color RAW shots and then use great tools like Silver Efex able to do everything I would ever want on the B&W front?
(I understand why B&W RAW is better than B&W JPG :-))

The photos on the new Leica look great. That says it all.
