DVT80111: Did Sony get some IP on IBIS via this deal?

I reckon Sony gained access to Olympus IBIS.

IBIS is in Sony's latest "A7" mirrorless full frame cameras and perhaps their APS-C cameras too.

Sony has since started selling their stake in Olympus.

I think at least one of the motives behind Sony's investment in Olympus was to get their hands on Olympus' 5-axis stabilisation technology.

bcalkins: I'm confused, you can go to a store and buy the 5D Mark II new for under 2K. $2100 for the body is not a hallmark price for a full frame body that suddenly opens up full frame to the masses!

Sorry, the first sentence was a question. :)

Nikon finally fixed the video banding issues that came to my attention when shooting video with the D90 under artificial lighting. Made the video option unusable in this situation. The issue persisted with the D300s and D3s too, I believe. I might give up and switch to vendor who's got their act together.
