If they were to give OpenAccess to sourcecode this device would be better than anything imaginable and all cons in this review would be eliminated... and I HATE to see that all Open-Formats are better than the originals... MagicLantern or else...
IMHO they are stupid to develop an amazing hardwaresolution with crippled functions cause they can't program it... sure programming costs, but then - why not open everything for public????????????

Sirandar: Has promise and the perspective shift is real.... but the actual shift is quite limited

shure, it is limited. but it allows you to create a true 3D - image. And that is definetely some mindblowing possibility, to have one lens, one sensor, and one point of view and you can still create real 3D footage out of it.

If you have a 3D monitor, or are able to do the ''cross-eyed-view'' check this out. I prepared an example of this in the following post:

The 'perspective shift' might be very interesting to create a 3D - one sensor, one lens camera, as it is basically possible to create a real3D-image out of these two. I tried that with my 3D monitor, and it works perfect.

On photo Coffee Mug in the Just Can't Do Without My... challenge (4 comments in total)

my monitor is not calibrated, but I think it would improve the shot, if you pulled down the shadows a little, that the black is really black and not greyish.
great shot in all other aspects (well - you could have left the shadow of the plate in the image IMHO)

how about some ''subcategories'' like ''Canon, Nikon, pentax, etc.'' or ''bodys, leneses, acessories'''

would make it easier to find the specific lens one needs... as i shoot pentax, i'm not interested in reading 100 canon&nikon offerings ;)
would be great I think!

Thank you
