Indeed, and more than one alternative meaning.

Lense is a bit understandable ( why isn't it one "len" two "lens" :-) ) But it's folk who post a picture of the lens or camera which has Canon all over it or the strap or the box and then want to ...

You can't quite see it in your photo but the second bird from the right has a tracker on its neck and that's how google know where you were. Hope that helps :-)

I'm sure similar questions have been asked before but here goes. My setup is in my profile below. I'm in my mid-70s. The camera is fine for me though faster autofocussing and better low light/high ...

No harm in also trying to increase the depth of field to, so f/8. Note that this may end up with a one stop more ISO. People and pets don't tend to sit still so I agree with the idea of ...

The detail in your first picture is (mainly*) as a result of the shadows simply because it was NOT a full moon. *Other factors (atmosphere) might come into play.

Get it operated on! My wife has had both wrists done to great effect and was warned that leaving it too long could cause long term damage rendering an operation ineffective.

Just like the camera's "exposure" display you mean? Level 1: There are trade-offs between shutter speed, aperture and ISO so that they can be balanced Level 2: Maximise the amount of light falling ...

A couple of things I have done for my own education though I doubt that they are necessarily original: (1) Have a pendulum type object swinging and take photos to freeze, blur, at the bottom (max ...

Well the river does flow down that way :-) Pictures in my gallery, from which this was taken, are not a showcase. They are usually up there for some issue or other, As this was 13yrs ago I dont ...

Sounds as if you missed a good blackmail opportunity there ;-)

Why has your first photo got -3EV? It's left you with a slow shutter speed (note the shutter speed of you second photo), and seems to have left nothing sharp. Have you tried to sharpen in post?

A bit confused here, if you are in Sport mode then that won't be RAW, they will be JPG. Are you just looking at the raw photos in Windows or are you processing them to JPG? What points do you have ...

It is not and I don't believe ever intended to be a model of exposure and if that is how "experts" see it then no wonder they get their nickers in a twist. It merely can be a useful analogy. I ...

Indeed, I have trawled all through my Canon manual and found no reference to the standard exposure value relationship: nor did I find an explanation of ISOLESS tone curve adjustments, though that ...

You're the technical man. My manual calls it an exposure meter compensation (-3 - 0 -3). If I'm in a fully or semi-automatic mode it will endeavour to set itself to 0. If I've locked shutter ...

The way I look at it is quite simplistic. If my meter is showing 0 at: 1/500 f/16 ISO 500 and I don't need that depth of field for the next shot (same light etc) then I know I can step back the ...
