Fully agree. My wife says about B/W the same LOL.
-
Best recipe for B/W is structure, shape, pattern and light. Using color (not sensitively) will hurt and sometimes kill the impact entirely. You´ve managed it - well done.

Yes this seems to be reasonable explanation. With 1,7/20 IBIS is non audible (1,7/20 has no OIS) and the combo is completely silent. Which is not the case with OIS lenses. Still I am not sure about ...

Isn´t it better to sell the stock completely before announcement? It will be a problem to sell any of these after announcement happen.

I use it as well. For mammals it definitely works - not 100% reliably - depends on lens (AFspeed), how quickly the animal is moving and correct AF camera settings (AFC balanced or Release ...

Yep older lenses (aka 100-300MK1) do not support it at all. G9, GH5, GX9 Yes on output you see no stabilisation (when switched to OFF) but still you can hear one of them hissing. Simply 14-140, ...
-
Agree with you conclusions. I think given the new AF on S5 and understandable need to make it more recognizable given this major change, it is probably not a bad idea to wait a bit with ...

Can confirm and see it normal. It is a mixture of working OIS +IBIS. Even when Stabilisation is switched off (via menu) I can still hear the IBIS ( - not sure whether IBIS or OIS) Much quieter, ...

BBF - back button focusing - placed next to Joysticj (G9) or far right in top row (GX85/9)

AFAIK (maybe I am wrong) but preburst is not available (with RAW), High speed burst over 12 Fps with selectable AF (PDAF vs DFD) and RAW - to name just few. Those are very appreciated for still ...
-
I use BBF combined with AFS in super low light scenario. And have no problem at all. BBF is set to AF-ON, shutter button AF is enabled (as usually). When CAM finds the focus via BBF AFS once you ...

G9 was allways hybrid camera - less oriented for all available Video codecs and more towards Stills. I see it beneficial for Panasonic updating G9 with PDAF if it is of any significant value for ...

No problem, that is just a question how to apply the spot light illusion, it can be wider or more concentrated to one spot. Depends what you prefer.

Something like this? How do you see it?
-
Would you mind posting how I would post-process your photo - just an idea?
-
Good advice, thanks. This uncertainty held me back when thinking about non AF lenses.
-
True focus assist (enlarging the view upon focus ring movement) is dependent on chipped lens (must have contacts, AF is not necessary). Then you can really precisely control the focus. Without ...
-
I could live without EXIF but no focus assist really sucks. Just curious - could peaking help? Have no experience with unchipped lenses
-
Are you sure that such setting really exist?

I love that design - combined with BB focus everything is so smooth with minimal risk of hand-shaking the cam.
