I'm not a fan of changing lenses. The 16-50 sits on my z50 and never leaves it. It suits the use I intended for the camera. No dust.
-
i would say that. Don't hesitate; it's a steal.
-
Definitely worth considering. Very nice kit. At the other extreme the Z7 offers you a lot more resolution.
-
But they will enable you to install ringtones for when the camera wakes up.

What Adams didn't say is that it's 42 to base x, and if you don't know what x is ...

Me, 24-70/f4. Excellent lens, and the most usable range. Keep it simple, keep it light. Maybe get more batteries though.

Z50/Zfc eclipse the Sony, the Z30 might not, depending on your needs. Not every user or use needs a finder. Leaving off the finder reduces size, weight and cost (while still leaving a highly ...

One of the most impressive things about the Z family is that every single camera or lens has been a success; not perfect, but not a failure in sight. The Z30 will succeed. It may have no immediate ...

Predictable, but nothing wrong with that. Nikon hasn't made a poor Z camera yet. Z30 is pocketable, lightweight, and usefully cheaper than the Z50 while retaining nearly all its features.
-
In itself, nothing wrong with that. Drop off the viewfinder add the Zfc monitor and you have a lightweight pocketable vlogging camera at an affordable price.

For all the good things in the pic, I feel uncomfortable with the fact it's sloping. Loch Linnhe with Fort William and Glen Nevis behind.

Agreed. Go for the 24-70 f4. And as part of a kit it's a steal.

The Z9 took people by surprise; Nikon went back to base, looked into the future, and came back with something unexpected. And the result was WOW! I suspect Nikon's next cameras will be the same. ...
-
But the R7 and R10 are disappointing in their use of yesterday's technology. In that sense Nikon is ahead. The next Nikon cameras could be streets ahead.

I bought the original Z6 knowing I could trade up to a Z7 if I felt the need. So far I never have. I shoot landscapes.

I've been using jpegs on Nikon for years, including above setup. The Neutral colour profile gives me the great, balanced natural colours I'm looking for. I set Active Dynamic Lighting on, which is ...

Is it me or do these pics miss something?
-
I have both. I wouldn't like to be without either. The Zfc is paired with the 28mm f2.8 and is used as a lightweight walk around camera with the traditional controls I like. The Z50 is used for ...

I'd get a Z6ii + 24-70 f4 S, a cracking combination which is very good value for money and satisfies your needs in that range. If something else comes along in future it shouldn't be too difficult ...
-
I have the 24-70 f4 S and it does everything I need in that range, and a bit beyond. I also have the 50 f1.8 S; it's used sparingly, when I feel that little bit extra it gives at that length is ...
