Guljar: Nice photo with Luminar 4 sky.

Yeah, the clouds in the sky look out of focus whereas the foreground is sharp

Viggo: It’s a long time since the patent was out revealing it to be an extending zoom. But that is a big plus in my book, it can be transported vertically and takes up much less space in a bag and when using a Black Rapid strap for example, it will be much nicer to walk around with. And it might have had something to do with the 0.7m mfd which is completely unheard of for a lens like this.

It might also have significant focus breathing because of that too...

Great image! Should have been first. But your other photo is first so no problem there :)

Why do the Active Track samples look shaky ? Is it because it's trying to track the subject up and down as well as side to side ?

tinternaut: Didn’t Olympus experiment with something like that? Bringing Google’s computational photography experience to a larger (43 or APS-C sensor) format would be a game changer.

@Kawika Nui It would bring great dynamic range

Marcelo Dischinger: Adobe, please, XMP auto/custom save in ACR. Thanks.

Maybe as an option you can toggle on/off. Lightroom saves every step you take and I feel it hinders performance. That's why I switched to ACR in the first place.

David610: It is disappointing you used the adjective disappointing again. Who edits 4K video and buys a SL3?

Yeah, but where are you getting a 7mm rectilinear lens for Canon?

In reply to:

epambos: So, Fujifilm, Sony and Panasonic practices are forcing Canon to do the same. Continue to evolve the cameras with firmware updates... That's great! But there is no way to make up for old generation sensors...

@jay jay02: That's not the point, why can't I evolve as a photographer with a good sensor to back me up?

I'm curious why you didn't shoot this at 2.8 for more subject separation

NJOceanView: Did I miss the 35mm equivalent focal lengths of these three lenses? I've read the article twice and can't find it.

Search for an angle of view calculator online, they are approximately 12mm - 27mm - 50mm.

arhmatic: I've always wanted a small, compact, travel tripod. The market is surprisingly sparse here. The Manfrotto option is really for mini-cameras, with no tension controls. Awesome addition. Well done. I think ALL manufacturers should have their own version of this - the only range if tripods I am interested in.

Try the Cullmann Magnesit Copter, very similar to this Gitzo and unlike the Manfrotto Pixi it can also do vertical shots with its real ballhead

Ed Chen: Did I read correctly that the lens is rated f/12.6? Daylight only camera?

Also, this new SQ6 seems to be a stripped-down version of the SQ10, adding an optical pass-through viewfinder and removing the 3-in LCD display; maybe this is why the handling is completely automatic since there is no way to compose your shot.

Also, the SQ6 no longer uses rechargeable batteries! With film, no LCD screen, and real batteries, this is a complete throw-back to the Instamatic. I hope buyers realize this.

What buyers? :D

Mariano Pacifico: My Grandma and I constantly text pictures of each other to connect. She shoot selfies off her iPhone 5s whenever she goes on a trip. I take her picture for granted until I read this article.

Pictures sure does have meaning to someone after all not just keeping in touch. I LOVE YOU GRANDMA !!!

If you are reading this comment I ask what ever happened to the Samsung Galaxy S8+ I sent you for your birthday? Why are you still using iPhone 5s? That is soooo 90s ....
