thinkfat's current gear

Canon EOS 5D Mark III
Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
Bought as an upgrade from the G1. Compact little camera with good IQ, best with the ZD 14-54 II. Collecting dust since I bought the 5DII
Bought used from a friend. Very happy with the performance as a portrait lense, though a bit long for this purpose.
Canon EF 35mm F2 IS USM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
Canon mostly paid for this one through a cashback :-)
Bought used at a swap meet. Seems to be quite OK. IQ not very good down to f/2.8. Consistent with the reviews, I think
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM
Olympus Zuiko Digital 14-54mm 1:2.8-3.5 II
Panasonic Lumix G 20mm F1.7 ASPH
Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-45mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH OIS
Panasonic Lumix G Vario 45-200mm F4-5.6 OIS
Tamron SP 24-70mm F2.8 Di VC USD
Canon Selphy CP800
Other gear:
  • Canon EOS-3 35mm SLR Camera (Body Only)
  • Meike Vertical Battery Grip for Canon EOS 5D Mark II BG-E6
  • Yongnuo YN568EXII For 100€, a reliable and featureful speedlight. Not the most sturdy construction, but, you can open the case easily for repairs.
  • Yongnuo YN622C Great E-TTL flash remote control. I own 4 of them, they're dirt cheap and function very well.

thinkfat's previous gear

Casio QV-R4
Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1
My very first digital camera, yay. Now defunct. I don't miss it a bit
Sold to offset the cost of the 5d Mk III
Gave the G1 to my wife, it got stolen later in SF from a rental car.
Canon EF 100mm f/2.0 USM
Sold to fund the EF 85mm f1/8. It was a tad long for portraits and I also have a 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens, so the 100mm f/2 had to go.
