Perhaps salted for the participants, buttered for the viewers?

This is interesting as I find the opposite to be true with my Z6 and Fuji gear, even with the horrie AA filter, but lenses are the big variable in this kind of comparison, of course.

I believe the linguistic term is "rhetorical question".

This is the key factor from my limited experience and especially the lighting on the subject. For example, I find myself pushing the ETTR a little more on Fuji X cameras in flat lighting as I find ...

I fully agree and I didn't start this thread to get definitive answers. I was more interested to see how people come to their own conclusions and whether there is any credible comparison to back ...

If I ever get to return to life on the road, I think an X-E4 with the new 27mm f2.8 will be my new little street shooter. Fingers crossed

Thanks for the suggestions. The Jeff Keller site sounds like it was a good resource.

As I mentioned, those samples aren't particualty useful.

Do you know of a site where comparable, in-the-field RAW files from different Fuji X bodies are available from download, by any chance? It's easy enough to find test chart comparisons but ...

I use a mix of zone focusing and pre-focusing during daylight. You'll want to use back-button focusing for this. (1) Set your aperture to f5.6 or f8 to get some DOF on your side

I think I know the thread you are talking about and I remember it well. Unfortunately, the only comparisons were DPR gallery shots and the thread was, once again, filled with opinion, hot air and ...

I'm not a fan of hyperbole in either direction. I'm not worried about software. I simply mentioned Lightroom as it's considered problematic by many and to remove software as a variable for ...

Valuable insights and comparison. Thanks. I'm still rocking the X-T2 myself and nothing has tempted me to "upgrade" since.

I'm very happy with the 14mm although I mainly used it for street photography so I can't say much about landscape. I've gotten more into landscape since Covid struck but mostly using Nikon. Sadly, ...

Based on your experience, would you be happy to have one X-Trans body and a Bayer (Fuji X) on the same job where consistency is a factor or does the work flow become too complex when trying to ...
-
I don't believe I have. It seems you have missed the point of my OP. No. Not the information I'm looking for, no matter how many times you say it. Then your gear and comments are both equally ...

Thanks for this. Will have a look when I get back to the computer. Would you say you get equivalence with the same or similar processing or do you have to work the files slightly differently?
-
Some interesting stuff here, especially related to DR and shadow noise with the X-H1. A lot of variables like heat management and the slightly older sensor that could affect noise but interesting ...

The ability of others to provide a straight answer is not my responsibility, Jerry. I made it easy enough with a simple question. I'm not interested in discussions about different software options, ...
