  • Replied in EXIF Revealer?
If you have a Firefox browser just go to their website and download the EXIF app.  If there is any EXIF left attached to an online photo it will dig it out.
  • Interesting.  How could 2 sites get it wrong, unless there is a Euro version and a N.A. version.  Seems unlikely.  As for the duct taped photos I had questioned this with no response.  Had assumed ...
  • Has anyone noticed that this site lists the SX70 as having a flash hot shoe?  Odd.  No other site  seems to corroborate.
  • Replied in Darn!
You will do just fine with this camera.  It proved a bit much for the 65x long end so best to avoid zooming in max.  Otherwise it will serve you well and at that refurbished price it is good value.
  • Good one.  Now for the full reviews.  Really doesn't look that much like a SX60 clone.
  • Although my wife's S100 is still chugging along with the dreaded (possible lens failure) serial number, it has been a good "take-it-everywhere" type camera,  particularly when traveling.  It also ...
  • Yes, the system is still on 1803.  I will do an extra back up just in case there is an unplanned restart.
  • Basically you are 971/2 % right. :-)   I both photograph and oil paint on canvas.  My paintings are almost always done from photos.  Modified a little to suit.  So, why bother meticulously ...
  • Under Update History and Feature updates I show version 1809 as the latest full update with 1803 listed below it.  No problems to date.  The 1809 was installed about Oct 07 and still shows a ...
  • A good photographer makes full use of good gear.  These aren't mutually exclusive.  I have compared SX50 images to SX60 and found that the 50 was ever so slightly favored on the long end.  ...
  • Very true. Only thing one can count on is marketing dishonesty and exaggeration. Nothing here is out of the ordinary and as promo advertising it has very little to no value. :-|
  • Yes indeed.  Simple can work very well.  I have been doing this for years when traveling.  Stick the card back into it's little plastic case it comes in when near full. With a blank stick on label ...
  • For sure.  With all the crap loaded onto home computers it's amazing anything works as designed.  :-P
  • Very true.  Just downloaded the latest and greatest update for W10 and all I can say is  not much useful stuff here and more cell phone social media hype.  If there is some hidden goodies I missed ...
  • Photography Blog is not a viable site for camera testing.  I sent a response to them re the tape covering the hot shoe area on their camera images.  No response.  A TAPE to cover what?  Perhaps ...
  • Cameras do 1080... I'm pretty disappointed in Canon so it took them 4 years to bring this out and really the only improvement over the sx60 is 4k capability.. Not sure about you guys but 16mp bump ...
  • Hmmm...   I thought I was part of that market.  These SZ are ideal tourist cameras and for around home photography.   Sure birders do like the reach of a long zoom but I doubt they are a big ...
  • Should have mentioned I only shoot JPEG with SZs so even full size is 4000 p. across.  Makes all the difference.
  • Lee Jay does some very fine A/C photos.  Perhaps he can add some tips.
  • Good suggestions.  That's always a big problem with super zoomers when fully zoomed in.  Any atmospheric haze can be big a problem.  Shooting a/c up off the ground is about all one can do.  The ...
