I see over and over again that a crisis brings the very best of humans to the surface. All the things that bothered us and we argued about suddenly don't matter anymore. This gives me hope in such dark moments.

The market has been closed due to coronavirus :)

Somehow it dawned on me just now why they really bragged about the diameter of the Z mount. They want to have the option to transition to medium eventually and take their lenses with them... Really clever.

Would love to shoot into your filming location. The past years have been that hot, sunny and unbearable. I can't stand the heat.

A fine weekend, guys, and good Light.

We crazy guys tend to question stuff. You know, critical thinking ... For example this guy

Btw, you are the one who will have fun without nuclear and coal, lol. Where will you get your energy from in the not so sunny and not so windy Germany? From nuclear plants in France and Poland. But you feel so virtuous, instead. So you, have fun:)

Why stop at sky replacement? Why not replace everything that is not perfect? While we're at it, why not skip this photography thing altogether and just generate some nice cgi? Better still, let some AI generate some nice cgi for us while I shove yet another pizza in my fat face?

You can put a sensor that big in a smartphone. But how is it possible to fit the required optics in there? Can someone help me out here? What am I missing?

citrate: Why EF mount?
They should do a short flange distance mount to take advantage of both dslr and mirrorless lenses.

He told in the presentation that they wanted to have the wide collection of good and the cheap EF lenses as it fits to the whole pocket camera idea of being affordable.

DominicF: It's a shame they didn't stick with the MFT mount, which would work with a Super 35 sensor too. I hope a future model goes back to that (and adds IBIS and an EVF). Very promising though.

He told in the presentation specifically that this is not a successor. They will continue the two lines in parallel.

Will Sukmiof: I wonder if Sony regrets selling this sensor to Fuji now...

Ok, so since my comment generated more attention than I expected I will explain my thoughts that led to that comment.
My perception is that Fuji made an exceptional camera to a relatively (!) affordable price. It might be that this is the camera which draws so much attention as a reference for IQ that MF becomes the new format to shoot with if you want to be perceived as or feel like a real professional photographer (in some areas obviously). Thus, shifting the whole professional market towards MF and away from FF which would naturally not be in Sony's best interest.
You might think it is far fetched and you might be right. But that is the way I felt about it when I made the original comment.

Wow, some people here try really hard to convince others that their imaging device (phone or camera) is better than the other one. Why? If you are happy, great! Why the hell are you trying to tell me that yours is better than mine? Kindergarden.

After what I've learned about RED in the last couple of weeks (jinnietech), I'd rather buy child slave using, environment destroying products than anything from RED. Such a disgusting way to do business...
