I was hoping for one too, but perhaps they have just decided to save money and produce one for both silver and black.

Video show it most clearly and actually does cause the camera to overheat (signaled by the yellow "turn camera off and wait for it to cool" indicator). However affected units will begin to warm up ...

It's been acknowledged as an issue worth investigating by Fujifilm in two countries, but no word yet as to whether they recognise it as a fault.
-
If I remember correctly they were also using pre-production firmware, as were all the early reviewers. I'm wondering if a bug has slipped into some of the units shipping with release firmware.

I've just been on the phone to Fujifilm Australia and the technician I spoke to said that they have been asked by Fujifilm Japan to start collecting information about X100Vs and heat issues...

Thank you for testing this. I've seen the same temps reported elsewhere so I'm thinking that this is normal, at least for many units. I've used mine when it was 32 degrees Celsius and it didn't ...

I contacted them a week ago and still haven't had a response. Having worked a little around marketing I suspect they are waiting to see if a) It is a problem and if so b) How large a problem they ...

Maybe we're melting the weather proofing and that's letting the heat out!

Thanks, Cabello. Mine is more like a hot cup of tea - you can hold it but wound't want to for an extended period of time! I am surprised at the posts that claim that their copy never even gets ...

I've just switched from a 95 mb/s card to a 170 mb/s and notice a bit of a difference - 4k recorded for 9 minutes before throwing an overheating warning as opposed to 5 minutes with the slower ...

I'm beginning to think that warm is the new normal for these cameras. I gave mine more of a workout yesterday and as in the video it got warm, much more so that previous versions of X100 I've ...
-
Before returning it I tried resetting everything that could be reset and it seems to have improved the situation somewhat. I was able to record a 4k video for 10 minutes with no heat warning. The ...

Bluetooth is off on my unit, but still heating up and burning through the battery at a furious rate. One other thing I noticed: If live view is active on the rear screen and the camera is left ...

I'm having more of a play with mine today. In normal use (camera used for a few shots, then left in 1-minute standby) it is definitely getting warm, much more so than my old x100f. It also seems ...

I just repeated this test and my 100v also got VERY warm when shooting 4k video, with the overheating warning coming on at 5 minutes. And when I say warm, I mean uncomfortable to hold. I'm ...
