"what’s the point of the release of a new camera other than buying it, and selling the older model?" lol You miss that the point of releasing it (Fujifilm) and the point of buying it (the...

@Jer: you asked about reach, not MP. Moreover, this is a lens, and you are asuming the MP of the MFT camera to make your comparison favorable. Someone else could have told "does it give you a FF...
-
@Jer81: if you crop the image to the size of a MFT sensor, yes.
-
@SmilerGrogan: "because 4x5 inches is a lot of pixels to ingest", well that depends on the pixel size, they could make a 2x2 pixels sensor if they wanted. Couldn't someone make a low resolution...

Yes. When I see side by side the samples from the studio I can see a noticeable difference between brands. I feel Nikon gets better skin colors on all color tones/races.

Thanks for the answers. It's a pitty that the price hasn't come down after decades. Not that I'm interested in a 300Mpx image, but I'd love that you can keep the lens' angle of view and framelines...

It's been a while since digital backs exist, but we still have digital backs that are "cropped" compared to their analog counterparts (for example, 6x6). Does anybody know why we can't have an...

do you write the same comment on articles about products from Japanese, German or American companies?

And the sinophobic comment award of the day goes to...

@Kandid: a good mixture, but 16 Nikon, 8 Canon, 3 Sony, and 1 Olympus, so his comment is still valid. For whatever reason, most of the photographers mentioned here prefer to shoot with Nikon.

"the reality is I don't know anyone who paid $6.5K for it", all those people who are selling the A1 secondhand paid $6.5K for it.

he kept them in mind if he had used them, obviously

@justmeMN: also NikonRumors: "Breaking news: first set of rumored Nikon Z6III camera specifications" December 12, 2023.

Ok, I have finished the 3 votings and in all of them (at the moment) Nikon is leading with one (or two) products. Hats off, Nikon. It's been a great year, and we are looking at you for 2024 with...

what you don't get is that perhaps "the vast majority of folks" don't care. For example, a top LCD, improved ergonomics, or a sensor shield has more impact on MY shooting that any of the benefits...

@DCSteve: look, I have no interest in promoting PD or convincing you, but my backpack opens completely and I can have access to everything in it at once (besides allowing to accessing through the...

Actually, I thought this model allowed to open the whole bag as the one I own. In the EVERYDAY BACKPACK ZIP, there's only one continuous line with 4 zips in it, so you can open either side or the...
-
@Adam007: if you have 3 items per self, you shouldn't use the side access, as you will always have something not accessible (from either side). Open the whole bag to get access to all of them at...

"I could never remember which side to use to access what I wanted". I don't really understand this. You can access your equipment from both sides. Moreover, you could decide to access your...
