Hoo hah! That's good news.

Your stuff on the lensrentals blog was most informative, and I'll be following your contributions here with great interest.

My Nikon F still works. Truly a beautiful and timeless classic. I sold my faithful OM-1n back when mercury batteries were banned, but a couple of years ago I found this gem in the local camera store; exactly like the Nikon F I shot in the early 1970's before the Olympus, except this one has a newer (multicoated) lens.

Nicely done! Next step would be to add the Jolly Green Giant reaching down to turn off the falls. :-)

On photo Douaumont Ossuary in the Armistice Day challenge (18 comments in total)

I visited Ft. Douaumont and the Verdun area as a boy when our family lived in France ca. 1963.

The ossuary is certainly one of the most memorable military monuments I've ever seen. Difficult to describe the things one sees there.

Well photographed, and thank you for reviving my memories.

I often find that user reviews are the only place to find out important details about the product; the manufacturers generally give pathetically little information about the things that really affect how well a product works for me.

If a reviewer omits the sort of detailed info that suggests they actually own and use a product, I'll ignore that review, whether positive or negative.
