@badi : since the sensor is finally out of the lab, it is sensible to expect it to make it into mainstream still cameras in less than 7 years. I'm betting on 3 to 5 years.

It's a *technology* developed with Fuji. Which means Fuji will simply produce APS-C and MF sensors based on it.

The Ni-con Zed Neuf will have to make do with a Soni or Toweur Djaz sensor.

Coming from Fuji, it'd be more likely that they release only lenses for the L mount. And even then, they'd prolly rather licence optical formulas rather than actually build the lenses.

Pentax should very much join this alliance if they want to increase the survivability of their cameras in today's crowded, MILC-centric market.

Err yes but Fuji's XF variable aperture zooms do feature aperture rings. Pana could have done the same, but I guess they didn't bother.
