Focus bracketing is the key along with getting the magnification up there. You can use a rail system to move the camera, but Olympus makes it easier with focus bracketing.

Manual focus always. Get the camera where you want it right before your focus point and waste a few shots to get what you need. also, I always use electronic shutter
