Yes, I checked my order status a few hours ago and it's still saying backordered. Looks like I'm somewhere in the middle or back of the queue. Still not in a hurry, so I'll keep waiting.

Following up: Canon refurb webstore shows this lens is back in stock...

Yes, all EX Speedlites will work on all EOS bodies.

If you want or need a wedding shot in 8K (can't imagine why anyone would), then you hire a photographer/videographer that has the equipment capable of doing so, not a poor "starting professional" ...

Not elitist at all. A real professional understands that all those "excelent lenses, software, lots of computer power and a nice storage solution" are worth nothing without procuring an appropriate ...

Best Buy currently has EF 100mm f2 USM on closeout for $349. Phenomenal price for an excellent lens.

I too have an Eero Pro setup and have the same connectivity issues with my R6. The obvious common denominator here is the Eero mesh system.

What brand of Wi-Fi access point are you using?

In the scenario you describe, it does not have that limitation. 30 minutes is for in-camera recording only.

If you’re talking about about recording in-camera while outputting a clean HDMI signal, then yes. If you’re recording the HDMI output with an external recorder like an Atomos Ninja V, then no.

I like your thinking. Like you, I currently own an EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III and it’s so good that I’ve never been compelled to consider the RF version. I fully plan on keeping this lens forever.

Ordered on Monday and backordered here too. Order has not been cancelled and I have no problem waiting for Canon to get more in stock. I am in no hurry.
-
Same here. Even if you change your mind, you can probably sell it for more than what you paid for it.
-
Just ordered one. Great price and a 1 year warranty. The refurb RF 70-200mm f/2.8L was also available this morning, but that appears to have sold out quickly.
-
No, it really doesn't. By your own reasoning, it makes no sense to put a $2000 L lens on a $1000 camera body, or a $100 lens on a $4000 body. Your opinion is yours and just as valid as anyone else ...

The cost of the camera has nothing to do with the perceived value of the accessories.

I just spit on my thumb and rub the sensor clean. just kidding. Don’t do this.

I have this lens and previously used it on a 5DIII before switching to an R6, where I now use it with an adapter as you described. It's really a fantastic lens, a bit long and slightly heavy but ...

Have you tried connecting the camera's HDMI output to a different display other than the Atomos?
