Success,  I just ticked the box " remember password in keychain"  and it worked. I want to thank everyone who replied for their help,....Thank You.

It lets me enter the password but tells me its incorrect.

I just encrypted it from the Finder under the drives name. It's greyed out in Disc Utility. What I mean by won't open is it won't except the password . Can't remember the format type,  Thank You.

I presume it won't open because I cleaned my Mac. I encrypted it on same Mac some time ago so I can only assume the new OS I installed can't reconise it. I'm not sure if that even matters.

I recently cleaned my Mac and decided to start over with a new copy of macOS. I have everything backed up except one small external  hardrive which was encrypted. I know the password, but ...

That’s one thing I hate about this lens. I don’t understand why the hood can’t be removed like other hoods and replaced easily if damaged. Other than that it’s a fantastic lens.

I had a problem with my Wacom pro at one stage and I eventually phoned Wacom directly and they were very helpful. I would give them a call.
