I am using the Elgato Keylight Air. Two of them, one on either side of the monitor. They make a substantial difference. And can be controlled from the computer.

I go through the hassle of using a "proper" camera (with HDMI capture) only for bigger presentations, webinars, etc. For weekly meetings, project meetings...a webcam is good enough.
